Crash nearly every single time I import audio
This is a new issue in the last 2-3 weeks I'd say. Every time I import audio, whether dragging it in, or File:Import or importing from session data, OR using recall track preset, Pro Tools crashes. At first I thought maybe it was a file format issue, because I was importing a lot of .m4a but no it doesn't matter whether it's an mp3 or even a WAV.
Occasionally if I process a file through izotope standalone and export it new, it will import without crashing. But this has been a crippling issue, and now that I can't recall track presets (that contain audio) I really don't know what to do. I'm on a Macbook Pro Intel Core i9. 32GB. The latest Monterey. Latest Pro Tools Studio 2022.6. I've tried trashing my PT Prefs but that did no good. I'm at a loss! I hope someone can help. |

Re: Crash nearly every single time I import audio
Addendum, apparently cmd-I import/converting does seem to work. But drag/drop and importing from session data does NOT. I think it's not necessarily the audio conversion that is crashing but whatever process happens just a moment after, when it's imported onto the timeline. Creating the waveform maybe, I'm not sure.
