OT: Focusrite voicemaster

I can get my hands on a second hand focusrite voicemaster for something like 450 Euro's. Is this unit better then the digi001 pre's? Are the eq and compressor any good? Does anyone has any experience with this machine?

A lot of people here seem to really like the Focusrite Platinum series stuff... IMO, it's "okay", but nothing to write home to Mom about. A bit better than the Digi 001's preamps, but nothing like a NICE preamp - Grace / Great River / Neve / Crane Song, etc etc.

Heck, you're in Europe, right? Seems like there's LOTS of Telefunken / Siemens V376's and the like available over there for hardly anything. They're not the tube V76's, but they're nice, discrete, Class A preamp designs that IMO sound significantly better than the lower line Focusrite stuff. I'd look into something like that if I was shopping in Europe at that price range.
