Default Adptec 29160 SCSI card

I have an Adaptec 29160 and whenever I load 29160 drivers and the 001 drivers my system freezes. If I only have one set of drivers loaded it works fine.

The problem is the digi supported 2906 is 10Mb/sec. and I have a Ultra2 68pin SCSI drive.

I just built the system with an Asus CUSL2 PIII 800 CPU, 256M RAM, etc...

Does anyone have a similar system that works? How can use SCSI without going slower than my 80M/sec. Ultra2 drive?
