Using Beat Detective without a click/tempo grid
Hello,
I am trying to clean up the drums and bass on a live recording that was not recorded using click. Is there a way to create a tempo map from the drums and use that to beat detect the kit and the bass? Any help would be appreciated. I have been cutting and slipping beat by beat to tighten up the drums/bass. Wow, this is slow. Thanks, Chad

Re: Using Beat Detective without a click/tempo gri
You can use "identify beat". I'll usually tab to the transient that is the downbeat of each measure or so, then use identity beat to mark it. That'll create a tempo map. You can also do this with BD, but I tend to do it manually with identify beat.
