Default Upgrade to Pro Tools Studio
Hi,

I am currently subscribed to Pro Tools Artist.
When I upgrade to Pro Tools Studio, do I need to uninstall and reinstall Pro Tools because of the additional plug-ins and features?

I think so pretty sure Studio will be a completely new install

My understanding is that all the versions of Pro Tools are the same installer and the license unlocks the relevant features. Have you already subscribed to Studio? If so, try moving the Studio license onto your iLok (or Cloud Session) and the Artist license off (if it still exists). Then launch your existing install of Pro Tools and see if the splash screen says Studio or Artist.

Unless things have changed in the last few hours, which is not totally unthinkable, this is 100% correct. No new installation needed.
