Importing and bouncing Video and audio
Hi
Are there any helpful videos on importing videos and bouncing a video session with added audio tracks in session. I am making videos of myself playing upright on my Zoom Q2n-4k video recorder and using a separate mic to track track the bass into PT. When I go to bounce mix there is a warning pop-up about video not matching. I will post the warning pop up details later today. Thanks, Tony Protools 2022.10 Ultimate Avid Carbon Mac Pro 2013 Catalina 10.15.7 |

Re: Importing and bouncing Video and audio
Please post the warning you're receiving.
It's generally "better" to do this outside of Pro Tools but it can work. Are you using the original 4k file the Zoom records?

Re: Importing and bouncing Video and audio
Is the framerate the same in all the video clips?
Is the framerate of the PT session the same as that? Are there ANY gaps between video clips? I haven't imported a video clip into PT in a good while, does it support multiple video clips or gaps? Hmm.

Re: Importing and bouncing Video and audio
Only Ultimate allows multiple video files with some editing of video. Studio is one video file with no editing of video, no video in Artist or Intro.
I've found that, at least in Studio, you can bounce out a portion of a video's audio or the audio the exact length of the video, but you can't bounce out if the selection is beyond the length of the video - at either or both ends. To transcode video to something Pro Tools will accept or when Importing the video and its audio won't import, I use the free Shutter Encoder to change the video to a different codec or just to strip off its audio to Wave and import that file into Pro Tools.

Re: Importing and bouncing Video and audio
Thanks for the replies everyone,,
Do you know of any recent tutorials/videos on this? All the videos posted on youtube are older versions of protools. Would be great if avid had some recent videos on this subject. |
