Adding new track to group
Is there a way of adding or subtracting a track(s) to a group that is already made? The only way I know is to delete the original group and make a new one....very time consuming indeed!

Re: Adding new track to group
the only real way to do it, is to select all the channels as you normaly would, when setting up a group, but also include, or without in this case, the tracks you want, then do 'command G' as per then in the prompt that appears go to where the group letter comes up and click on it, now a menu shuld appear with all the groups and just select the group that you want to append from this menu then hit return, the identifier and name should all remain with the other tracks included/left out
hope this makes sense, it took me a while to find this one cheers |

Sorry to be thick. Could Smoothoperator's method be repeated as I could't follow.
Thanks, John Caldwell

Re: Adding new track to group
here's what i do. to add/remove a track to/from an already existing group, click the letter to the left of the group name in the groups window, which is at the bottom left of the mix and edit windows. this 'highlights' all the channels already in that group. hold shift and click the channel you wish to add/remove from the group. press Command+G (or Ctrl+G on a PC). in the group creation window that appears, click and hold the group letter in this window (it's the letter in the middle of the window) and select the appropriate group from the pulldown that appears with your mouse. click ok and you're done!
hope that makes sense? |
