Yep, PCs are cheaper. It depends on whether spending 2-4 days getting rid of all the M$ stuff that clutters up the OS and getting a stable system is worth your time.

The extra $500-700 or so that my Mac cost was well worth it since I was up and recording my first tracks with PTLE in about 2 hours from opening the 001 box.

To me, it's kind of like getting "free" Internet service: you have to put up with a lot of bull (ads, spam, etc.) - but it IS cheaper.

It does appear that Digi is allowing a PC spammer (Mr. Drastic-for-PC-business) to continue to post - in the MAC forum even. This is clearly against the BB rules. I quote from the DUC registration notice:

"Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate to this BB."

...seems pretty clear to me. Spammers crawl out from under the same rocks as trolls, IMHO.
