I'm still on my older system and was slowly doing installs on my new M4 Pro. Haven't had time to install everything and start using it. I was going to try running in rosetta if i ran into issues. If you run protools on your M4 in rosetta, do these issues still occur?

Experiencing bounce issues on M4 and Sequoia 15.2.
Offline bounce works fine, but online bounce seems to complete but at the very end throws an AAE-9171 error.

Logged a case.

Made a case for the duplicating/creating tracks problem (assertion error).
It seems to happen only when opening sessions that were made before 2024.10.1.

Going to start a case, but interested if anyone else has seen the Bounce Mix... menu option getting greyed out on M4?

Once the bug happens, nothing seems to restore the Bounce Mix... option other than a restart or trashing preferences. Trashing prefs seems to give more time before Bounce Mix greys out, whereas quitting only gives one session load/bounce before occurring.

Chalking it up to M4 Macbook Pro issues.

Yes, this happened to me many times. My extremely expensive m4 Max MacBook is still completely unusable for work. I purchased it as an upgrade for my pro tools system because of the impressive increase in cpu benchmarks, but it is just being used for couch surfing and Zwift until these issues are fixed.

No offense but Avid never said they were compatible. New Macs are pretty much never qualified in advance.

Duh, but I needed a new computer after my m1 was damaged. I wasn't going to buy an older model. I started the thread knowing it was too soon to expect an immediate fix. It's just frustrating since things have mostly been fine on the hardware side of things. In recent history, or at least since the introduction of apple silicon, if the OS is supported, the hardware has worked. I know apple is to blame, not Avid.

Didn't realize you were the OP. Very frustrating. I've been in the same boat.
