Default Using Catalogs?

Hi all, since PT11 update browser functions are really different from PT10 I'm trying something new, but maybe I'm misunderstanding the function of the catalogs. Hopefully someone can help out.

My main drive can have upwards of 40-50 currently working sessions (spots). When doing VO I need to access 10-15 sessions per VO session. I thought I could pull the needed session files into a catalog thereby putting all of my "read" sessions in one place, but I can't open them from the catalog.

Am I missing something? Also, I am running on an ISIS.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

do you want to open the ptx files from your "read" sessions" from the catalogue or audio files belonging to those sesssions when recording VO on an open session? I presume it´s the latest. Maybe you can elaborate a bit more.

But I guess that you need to create a catalogue from the audio files within each "read"session, so that you can access the right files when needed.

Yes, I need to open the .ptx files. I did another test and am finding out that there seems to be an issue in the actual area of where clicking on the file will open it up. I'm using an Intuos tablet so this might be what is giving me issues.

Thx

Ok.

As a workaround, you can create shortcuts of the read sessions, place them, let´s say, aligned vertically on the far right of your second display and just narrow the mixer view window a bit so that you can spot them all the time.
