Default importing audio cd to PT...stutter

Anyone having this stuttering audio problem when trying to import audio cd's into protools? It's only on the preview, they actually import ok. I have an older plextor drive.

side note:
anyone see how cold it's been here in minneapolis? well, our heater is on the fritz and it's cold, so I am sorry for thwe spelling.....
