DIGI 001 out to DAT

Hello all,

I am trying to get a two track mix from sound forge to my DAT player. sound forge is recognizing the Digidesign card and microsoft sound mapper as outputs. Which should I use?

Also, is there any settings within the Digi 001 I should check as well ass through the control panel.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The following was posted by Brent, from Digi Tech Support on Jan 09, 2001. It was meant for SPDIF optical out but I'm sure that setting up SPDIF coax out is very similar:

"I have never tried this so I'm not sure how much success you will have:
· Since Acid, SoundForge and Vegas do not support Direct I/O, you will need to communicate with the Digi001 hardware via the 2 channel Wave Driver.
· Open the Control Panels>Multimedia>Audio Tab and enable the Digi001 as the Preferred Device.
-Click "Apply" and reboot
-Open the Control Panels>Multimedia>Devices Tab
-Expand the Audio Devices list and highlight the Digi001
-Click "Properties"
-Click "Settings"
-Select S/PDIF Optical from the Ch 1-2 Format menu
-Click "OK" and close the Multimedia Control Panel."
