Apogee Mini Me or Presonus M20 with RME ADI 2??
Ive been thinking about the mini me for a while and there was a post a while ago about it and it nearly got me to go out and buy one. But, now Im thinking of a Presonus M20/RME ADI 2 combo. Both have preamps, but I have no idea how the two compare. The M20 has a tube simulation control, but besides that, the two are pretty straight forward preamps.
Ive heard Apogee make pretty good a/d convertors, but Ive also read great reviews on RME gear too. And lastly, both have stable clocks. So what would you go for and why? Both setups are similar in price, but the M20/RME would give me d/a convertors whereas the mini me is just a preamp/ad convertor. I was talking to a sales assisstant about my 002, and he said that the convertors in the 002 arent that bad, and I shouldnt worry about buying convertors and spend all the money on a preamp. True? |
