PT keeps FREEZING when opening session! Help!

I've been using Protools 6.2.3 on Mac G5, Dual 2GHZ running OS 10.3.9 for several years with no issues, suddenly in the middle of a session yesterday I attempt to print an audiosuite effect on a channel and protools freezes mid-render. Now, the same thing keeps happening when I attempt to open a basic session. FREEZING! EVERY TIME! Tried to experiment with other sessions - the same problem so I know this particular session isn't corrupted.

Even tried to create a new session. Same thing happens! This has been on-going several days now, effectively rendering protools useless and screwing my deadlines.

I can launch pro-tools and my 002 hardware connects without issue, its just using the software to open anything, create anything, or render anything.

Dumped Preferences, Repaired permissions, nothing helps! I really don't want to have to re-install because I'm worried of screwing up my plugins and you all know how much a pain it is to re-install waves (which is why i haven't upgraded OS or PT 7.0 yet).

If someone has encountered this and knows what the heck is going on please help me. Every minute my project deadline is ticking away - can't even open my sessions!

Jeff, is it "Freezing" or "unexpectedly Quitting" ??

Also, did you trash all digidesign Database folders from the root of ALL drives on your system, as well as all the ddb files in HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Databases/Volumes

Did you try ALL of the steps in the "Troubleshooting Sticky Thread" in this forum??

You can also temporarily move all your plugins from your --- HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug ins --- to a temporary folder on your system, like your desktop, so that Pro-tools doesn't load them, to isolate if it's a plugin issue. (You won't have to re-install them, you just put them back in the folder you moved them from)
