Default \"Save Session Copy in\" occasionally doesn\'t copy..

"Save Session Copy in" occasionally doesn't copy linked audio files.

Per a request by Steve@ZooWest for details, I've found this on about maybe seven or eight occasions. Maybe my circumstances are special and I don't wish to be alarmist as I have yet to have a problem actually recalling a session as a result. The only reason I notice the files are not in the "Save Session Copy" audio folder is because they are the two files that I have to manually delete on each occasion I do a save session copy.

Every one of my session contains a quicktime movie (MJPEG-A) and also one mono track each of Dialog/FX and MusicTemp. I have no reason to store these in the audio files folder as with 20 to 30 cues per show, I just link to these two files, each of which is around 370mb (43 mins approx). These reside on the boot drive. The rest of the audio for the session is on the second internal "record" drive. We constantly swap between two rigs (detailed below) and do a save session copy before each move. So during the time we've noticed the behavior it's in amongst maybe 1400 or so "Save Session Copy In." I don't need to copy the dialog/FX and MusicTemp tracks, but nevertheless, they get copied along with the session audio as would be expected. Before archiving or moving the session to another rig I manually delete these two linked audio files. They get relinked when they go to the next rig or when they come back to this one. On about maybe seven or eight occasions, I have gone to delete these files and they aren't there. On a couple of occasions I thought maybe I'd opened the session and it hadn't had time to find and relink to these two files and and so couldn't be referenced to join the "Save Session Copy In." But it's happend with sessions that have fully linked to these files.

To be clear, I have yet to open a "save session in" and it not find a file (corrupted or missing fades, well that's another matter). I'm always linking to these files, so if they are not there, that is good for me. If it was a synth on a featured cue, that would be bad. Perhaps the length of my linked files are a factor, or the linking itself. But I'm detailing this behavior for others benefit. If it is indeed operator error, I await the knock on the door in the small hours...

Save session settings:
Session Format: Latest
Audio File Type: AIFF (as session)
Sample Rate: 48kHz (as session)
Bit Depth: 24bit (as session)
Items to copy:
All audio files (don't copy fade files)
Session Plug-In Settings Folder
