From another thread:

I understand that Apple has finally seeded the special part of their OS X.6 code to Digi/Avid that will unlock the following features in 8.1:

-Bins
-Freeze Tracks
-100% Customizable UI
-Custom KB mapping
-Revamped VI engine
-64bit support
-ADC for LE

I'm afraid we have to wait...
Looks like a serious problem for digi that will not be solved soon. Who cares that I've paid for PT8, I'm glad that I'm fast in Cubase as well

It will be solved soon - in fact, it's already solved, we're just working on getting builds finished for all languages and versions (LE, MP, HD).

No specific date for release, but barring any last minute regression (bug hunting) problems or installer issues, it's very close.
