Re: Creative Control - Part A
Thanks. Glad you find them useful!
There's a rather comprehensive look at the QuickJump default presets in the S4 S6 Operations doc starting on page 78: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qbdz33gb94...21.10.pdf?dl=0 Certainly we could dive in deeper on how to take advantage of these more. Customization of QuickJumps is also discussed here: https://youtu.be/EkafQcvy0c8 best, Jeff |

Nudge Attentioned Track + Atmos Panning
[NUDGE ATTENTIONED TRACK + ATMOS PANNING]
Let's take a look at a slightly different approach to stepping through multiple audio tracks for Dolby Atmos - either for the native object panner in Pro Tools or for tracks which are taking advantage of the Dolby Atmos Music Panner. The following concepts will be explored: Knob + Fader Attention Zones and enabling / suspending them Soft Keys -> customizing default functions On Attention behaviors from the DAW - what will trigger an Attention Attention Presets The idea here was to define a way to quickly move between clusters of tracks and access customized maps (Knobs + Faders) for the relevant panning controls - both for the native pan window in Pro Tools and the DAMP. First, we made sure to enable Settings > User > Attention Most Recently Clicked DAW Area > Edit Selection Move Up/Down and then we customized the + and - keys on the Locate (numpad) section of the Automation Module to do just that - write over the standard QWERTY + - functions with EUCON > Move Selection Up or Move Selection Down. We've customized 2 Attention Presets to modally adjust the Home > Local Options for Pan and for the Insert of choice = the Dolby Atmos Music Panner which happens to live on Insert 1. This way we can easily toggle between all of the Attention Zone goodness for Knobs + Faders showing Pan = native Pro Tools panning, or Inserts = Insert Parameter maps for the Dolby Atmos Music Panner. So - regardless of which panner we are using, we still have comprehensive control. Lastly, we're using the default switches on the Extras page of the Automation Module Soft Keys to enable both the Expand Fader Att Zone and the 2nd Expand Knob Att Zone. SoftKey QuickJump Panel Tour Part 1
[SOFTKEY QUICKJUMP PANEL TOUR PART 1]
Let's take a closer look at several of the different QuickJump functions which use the numeric Locate section of the Automation Module combined with any Fader Module (or Channelstrip Module) Shift modifier (track color) switch to pivot all of the Soft Key panels to different workflows. These are factory default panels which can easily be modified by programming the 4 quadrants which makeup each numeric switch. For more on that idea start here: https://youtu.be/EkafQcvy0c8 Since there is a substantial number of SoftKeys and SoftKey categories, we'll take a look at a few different QuickJumps per session. This one specifically looks at Automation, Multi-Workstation, Satellites, Playlists and Edit Window Management. SoftKey QuickJump Panel Tour Part 1 Jeff |

Re: S6 Tip ‘o the Day
Hi
For some reason the Shortcuts (Quickjump) do not work on my console. Is there a way to do a factory reset - of only this portion of the shortcuts ? |

Attention Knob or Fader Functions via Numpad
[ATTENTION KNOB OR FADER FUNCTIONS VIA NUMPAD]
For this discussion, I wanted to recreate a setup for controlling Attention Functions via the Numeric Keypad on the Automation Module. In concept, all of the numeric switches can be reassigned to Surface Soft Keys in order to quickly toggle the function chosen for the Attentioned Track including: Dedicated EQ, Dedicated DYN, Sends, Pan... Inserts 1 - 10 For the described workflow, I am demonstrating using Expand Fader maps on S6. If on S4 or you simply want to favor Expand Knob maps, here are the variations for the Soft Keys: Expand Faders: Surface > Attention Track Optns> Expand Fader Knob > Insert x Expand Knobs: Surface > Attention Track Optns > 1st (or 2nd) Expand Knob > Insert x Either way, it's an elegant way to quickly toggle function types for the Attentioned Track via the numeric keypad. It also gives you the ability to pivot between the dedicated (7-band) EQ pagetables and a more comprehensive parameter list - say for a multiband or dynamic EQ.
