I recently purchased a 002r and when I record drums the mic pres are peaking the inputs even when using dynamic mics with the gain turned all the way down. Has anyone else had this problem?
Do I need to purchase some PADS? Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, some pads would be useful. Many have found the minimum gain on the 002 preamps to be too hot for drums.

Thanks, Tele, I'm glad other people are having the same problem and not just me. BTW I've got a 1967 Tele. Love it.
