step one install Eucon 3.2.1 - hum what next

We updated from 3.2 to 3.2.1 on OSX 10.8.5 and now the popup thing comes up saying error and restart eucon and then nothing at all.

Unistalled and went back to 3.2 and everytime i install it says error installing at the end and nothing happens ...

Solved: whew - now that was a morning - I hope this finds someone who gets themself in a similar spot.

Solution:

after you press both page buttons upon start up of your avid mix - turn off your DHCP ('no')

then you can go all manual and correct the situation by way of the following:

1. locate your IP address page in your control panel
2. Drill down on Ethernet details
3. Copy the numbers for IP and Sub into your artist mix,
(there is an avid article in support on turning off or on DHCP - it's a quick read - you are well advised to go there)

4. I then restarted everything - was prompted to add my surface (avid Mix)

5. Launched PT

Whew - I'm now up and running

I hope this helps someone keep their hair!

Thank You soo much for that.

Gonna try this tonight, Had to revert back to HD 11.2.1 and Eucon 3.1.3 and that shouldn't have to be that way.

I think - after blowing out my HD2 system out last month, and now running on a new box with new interfaces and an artist mix - well, I think I'm going to unplug the internet on my rig and stay exactly where I am for the next few years - as - it appears that everything I have....(drum roll please) is now working...so why would I want to _uck with that!...I tend to feel like a dog chasing tail when I upgrade...So I think I'll quit upgrading - now!

Cheers to staying in one spot with respect to teck (ha ha...I'll save a crap-load of dough at the same time...)

Good luck with the reading tonight! (my pain was today) my reward... I'm gonna lay down some tracks! (whew a few weeks upgrading is lesson enough!....dog chasing tail again...)

Now back to making music!
