Default apple wireless mighty mouse and protools

i just got a wireless mighty mouse and i've noticed that when i run protools with a lot of plug-ins that my mouse slows down to the point where it is almost unusable (i've opened sessions that worked fine with my old apple wireless mouse that now are too intense for my system). i never had this problem with another mouse. im running a dual 2.0ghz powermac g5 with 1gb ram, protools le 7 and a 002.

let me know if you have any ideas how to fix this...maybe an update im missing or something??

Does it connect via Bluetooth? If so that's probably where the extra drain is coming from - Digi actually suggests that you turn off Bluetooth and Airport wireless connections for best performance in PTLE.

I've always used the standard apple bluetooth mouse up until only a few days ago. During pretty much any Pro Tools session the mouse always seemed to behave a little oddly, almost like it was tracing and it was a little inaccurate on smaller mouse movements, particulary through menus. Now i've gone over to hard wired keyboard and mouse which is much better. Now i can save myself a fortune in batteries as well.

Cheers
