that`s not bad at all!!....but i expected more juice from that Laptop , that performance is lower than my old Athlon 1800+, 512 DDR, 80gb 7200...desktop...

mungrin...are you using digi 002 or mbox? if it's either of the digi 002's you might try recording on the system drive instead of the firewire. I think I remember a lot of people saying that this is the best way---then to backup stuff to firewire.

as for your numbers they sound pretty decent. edurney...laptops ALWAYS run slower....so do p4s (hahahah ok jk. that was low)

also mungrin you should try changing your buffer setting---you should probably get a few extra tracks.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Most I've seen with the Powerbook G4 was 10 tracks on the Davec test.

This system above has some interesting results. I take it that is the Northwood processor too. I think we will be seeing better results on the new Pentium-M processors now. Unfortunately it is going to come at a bigger price tag.

AMD price/performance is really going to show in the laptops.

That`s my buffer setting , do you work with Midi or just audio?..if you work with Midi you might need a 128 buffer setting because of the latency
