Grouping markers with clips

Is there any way to select a clip (or a group of clips) and have the markers move along with them? I'm assuming that markers are associated with the time line. I'm importing scenes completed scenes to add to my 20 my reels and my markers don't go along for the ride.

Is there another solution that I'm not thinking of for moving markers?

I don't think so. Markers, when set up as memory locations are pinned to their point in time. You can drag them around and move them and depending on the mode you're in you can have them snap to grid or you can 'spot' them manually by typing in the value in time they need to go to.

You can not 'link' them to a clip or group of clips and have them move around with them though

You can include the markers as you are selecting the clips and copy everything and paste somewhere else. This is the only way to bring the markers along for the ride within a session.
And as you're importing session data make sure to tick the box to import markers.

AH .... found it.


You shift click on the marker line and then cut the selection. and then when you paste the selection you shift click on the markers line to include the markers.

I had no idea you could do that .... cool !!!!

You can do shuffle edits with the markers as well if you're doing global style cuts.
