Well, is your hardware connected and turned on as the message states?

Is it in use by Windows or another app?

Have you done any troubleshooting?

Hello and welcome to the forum. It’s really difficult to troubleshoot your issue without more details about your system and how it is setup.

For starters, read through the Help Us Help You thread which contains information on general setup, optimization and troubleshooting.

From there, make sure Windows isn’t using your audio device as it’s default sound device. PT requires an ASIO compatible audio interface. Some onboard sound devices can work, but an external one typically will give you a better experience.

I don't know how to fix the hardware issues.

As the picture says, "unable to locate hardware, make sure your hardware is connected and turned on"

I'm not sure what it means.

I use a 10th gen intel core 15-1035G1 processor with 32GB DDR4 system memory.

I am assuming it is looking for audio hardware and can't find it. You can try holding down the n key while PT is loading which will force a refresh and it will try to locate any audio devices in your system.

If that doesn't work, then you will at least need to provide to us what you are using as your audio device and what steps you have tried to remedy this issue. The more info we have, the more we can help.

What's PT stand for?

I'll try to start it up and hold the N key, on my keyboard.

I use the built in speakers on my laptop | Speaker (Realtek(R) Audio)

To be honest I'm really not a technically kind of person, so I don't know all the abbreviations, aka computer talk.

Holding the N key as it was loading did not resolve my issue, I can keep trying but I'm not quite certain what I'm doing at this point. lol

Also I tried troubleshooting it a couple times, and still nothing happened.
