Core Midi Problem - Help Needed
Hi there,
I have been using Logic Express and decided to buy an Mbox along with Pro Tools 7 LE. I installed the Pro Tools onto my computer and then realised that the guy shipped it without the authorisation number. When Pro Tools is asking for the authorisation number a folder named 'CoreMidi.framework' appears in the dock and then crashes, and the only way of removing it is to Force Quit. I then closed Pro Tools and went to open Logic but Logic keeps saying 'Midi timeout' and won't let me do anything. The same folder 'CoreMidi.framework' pops in and out of the dock regularly. This is a very frustrating problem as I now cannot record any music using any program. Unsuccessful troubleshooting attempts: -I opened the Audio Midi Setup from the utilities menu but all it says is 'Unable to launch Midi Server' -I looked in 'Library->Audio->Midi Drivers' but there is nothing in there -I removed Pro Tools from my computer whilst I wait for the authorisation code -I re-installed the drivers for my previous Audio/Midi interface Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Joe. |
