Help! I just purchased an Mbox2. I have a Dell w/win XP and 1 gig RAM, 250 gig hard drive memory, 700 Mhz speed. When I record it runs for anywhere from 1:45 to only 10 seconds. It then terminates with the following message: The operating system has held off interupts for too long. If this occurs frequently, try increasing the H/W Buffer size in the playback engine panel (-6086). I have done this as well as trying all of the actions under Technical Assistance that are "-6086". It has made no difference. I know Mbox2 is pretty new. Anyone out who is experiencing the same thing? Remedies?

I have an M-Box at home on a Compaq 2.4 gig running WIN XP Home. I turned the HW buffer all the down to 0 and its working fine. Are you recording to an external drive? I record to a 7200rpm Firewire drive. If you are recording to the internal drive, they are often 5200rpm drives, which is too slow, and ProTools does not like to have sessions on the same drive as your system. Hope some of that helps.

Also, change forums (use the Jump link below, go to LE on Windows). This is tdm, different hardware - you'll find tons of info on the correct duc.
