Hypertransport sames as Hyperthreading? Asus A8V
hello,
I just got in a new AMD 3500+ and Asus A8V deluxe MoBo and i'm wondering if this Hypertransport feature is the same as Hyperthreading and whether it should be disabled??? Also i'm guessing the Raid feature should be turned off, I have a separate SATA controller card, should i use this or stick with the onboard one? Any other set-up configs i should know about please lemme know before i get my buddy to put it all together. Thanks, Cory

HyperTransport is not the same as Hyperthreading. You don't need to worry about it.
Raid should probably be turned off. Digidesign doesn't support it, although some people have used RAID successfully. I don't know anything about SATA, so I can't help you there. Mike
