Automation/CPU limitation question...
Greetings all,
I was curious if anyone knew the answer to this - I have a session in which the track count is maxed, and the cpu is dragging a good bit (5 or 6 EQ plugs, a comp, and a couple of reverbs, blah, blah, blah). There is also automation written on some of the track and plug-in parameters and, obviously, the actual visual representation of the automation is dragging just as much as the screen redraws and what not. My question is, do the changes made via automation happen in real time along with the audio and I'm only seeing them happen slowly? Or does heavy CPU load affect the automation? Does that make sense? I'm just wondering if anyone else ever looked into this. -Cheers crack smokin hooker
