Default Glyph Power Trip

Building a new system from scratch and am thinking of going with the Glyph Power Trip for the combined storage solution. Anyone have any experience with this piece and PT, it is pricey.

I used to manage a studio that networks several PT4 stations on a mac server with a Trip rack. It's been a couple of years, but I remember them running smooth pretty much all of the time. I'm a big Glyph fan...

Glyph is crap. You can literally bend one with your bare hands. You're overpaying for the brand name and the fancy paint job. Get a Kennsington. Cheaper and much more solid. I got mine at Audio One in Nashville (ask for Frank, I think).

I own a Glyph Trip system and it ROCKS!!!
Works flawless every time I use it. It's built like a tank. I think it is worth every penny.

Frank at Audio-One in nashville is the man to call. they sell glyph and rorke data enclosures. kennsington does not make rack chasis' but storcase by kingston does. all these chasis' are composed of storcase receiving frames and drive carriers.

Have been using a Glyph Trip with 2 hot swap Cheetahs an AIT drive and an 8x burner flawlessly for 18 months.

Right, Kingston, not Kensington. Sorry. Frank's number is 615-341-0056. He's the bomb.

By the way, it's not your Glyph rack that "works", it's the Cheetahs inside it. Glyph does a fine job of sitting on the shelf and holding your Cheetahs. The problem is that it cost you 30-60% more than a Kingston rack, and if you take them out on the road you're screwed. The Kingston is built like a tank, and the Roark is even beefier (but a LOT more expensive).
