Connecting PT Control hit & miss

Can someone please walk me through the correct procedure to connect the PT app?
PT Control v1.0.4.
EU Control 3.3.1
PT11

I usuall have my Transport and the iPad powered on, then start the EuControl, then open the PT session. 3 out of 4 times, the PT control app can't connect (the Artist Transport alway can).

Hit and miss for me here too.

ProTools HD 11.3.2
EuControl 3.3.1
PT Control 1.0.4

PT Control running on iPad, launch EC then PT - that seems to be the proper sequence - it just doesn't always work.
