Avid's bundling of the UVI Falcon plug-in with Pro Tools & Pro Tools | Ultimate will end on Jan 31st, 2022. Products redeemed or renewed starting on Feb 1, 2022 will not include Avid Falcon AAX (existing customers will have use of the plug-in through the end of their current term).

If you have tracks using the bundled Falcon plug-in you should consider Committing them prior to the end of your current term. Please see our FAQ for more info.

I hope they do the promo again, alot of indie/small studios and home studios might jump on the Carbon+Ultimate + Falcon promo if they do it again.



It was very attarctive at $3500-$3995, with ultimate, CARBON, and Falcon2, and Ultimate already having surround ability... compared to the Apollo X series offers at or below that price point, and the development of LUNA possibly gaining 5.1/7.1 in 2022, but maybe not 9.1 AMBEO or 11.1 ATMOS anytime soon.


Will mull over these two options again and keep my eyes peeled for deals.

Note that Carbon is only stereo at the moment. Avid has not announced any plans to make Carbon a Surround Sound interface yet.


UVI Falcon has been included with the PT Update and Support Plan for a few years now though it looks like that will end soon.


The promo that expired on Dec. 31, 2021, added a PT Ultimate License and AutoTune Hybrid (AAX-DSP version) plugin to the included plugin bundle of a Carbon purchase.


Yes, it was very attractive for me at $3399. That's why I pulled the trigger in December and haven't looked back.
