Default D-Command unresponsive

I'm about 5,000 miles away from my D-Command, but my assistant back at the studio tells me that our D-Command (main unit) is not responsive after a power outage struck the area. Some of the lights on the unit are on, but the buttons don't appear to work. He tells me that the buttons on the 16-fader expander unit do work. It's just the main unit that appears unresponsive.

(Both the main and extra fader units are plugged into surge protectors, so I'm hoping it's something trivial.)

I was hoping it was a simple matter of the ethernet tab in the peripherals dialogue box not being set up properly. He says the expander unit is listed on the screen, but the main unit is not.

When I googled "resetting D-Command", I found a page with instructions using the utility button. Unfortunately, the utility button (like all the others) is unresponsive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Default Re: D-Command unresponsive

I've had the console become unresponsive a couple times, and the fix has been to un-check "Enable ethernet port" (Setup> Peripherals) > power-cycle the ethernet hub (if any) and the console > check "Enable ethernet port" again > re-select the unit(s).

I instructed my assistant to do that and now he says the 16-fader expander unit no longer works either!

I still sense that it's a communication issue between the units and the software, but with me being 5,000 miles away... it's proving difficult to troubleshoot.
