Default 12.2.1 and still unusable

With Protools 12.2.1 I still have a jumpy play cursor and sticky faders. (running 3 audio tracks)
I don't see this as a usable audio workstation.
My Protools 9 worked perfectly for 2 years on this same computer.
Now we have the "best" Protools and Apple software the world has ever seen and it is unusable.

Yes, I still have a Mac Pro 4,1 but my CPU is at 0% while running 3 audio tracks. This same problem has existed all through PT 11.x and through PT 12.x.

Pretty sure this is an OSX issue.

This fix has worked for many.

Try the fix in the last post. It worked for most people . The MacOS is trying to play God and decide how the graphics card should receive the screen updates. Follow the video and turn off Beam Sync.

Aside from that, if you have an old MacPro, buy this:

If you have a new Mac Pro, you are fine. Do the tweak and get back to work.
