Default Midi File wont import

I am working on attempting to convert several older projects into PT. I have midi files that I am able to imprt into SawStudio and Reaper - but when I try to imprt them into PT I get nothing - Its like PT doesnt see any midi data in the file.

I have used the same process to export the midi data from the projects and some files imprt into PT and others dont.

Any ideas?

Dave

Nope - I have tried new track and new clip when importing and either certain midi files (exported the same exact way as others) wont import.

The only way I can come up with is to loop the midi signal out of another DAW and into PT.

Which is not a very elegant solution at all.

Where had the MIDI files originate?

The clips were created in Reaper. Most of the ones I export from Reaper import into PT no problem. Others have issues. I also tried importing the midi clips intoo SawStudio and then out to midi again. But that still didnt work.

I am guessing there is some setting missing that makes it fail when importing into PT so that PT doesnt see the midi data.
