Default I thought 1.2Ghz, 1.12 GB SDRAM would be enough...

I'm running a PowerMac G4 w. 1.2Ghz processor, 1.12 GB SDRAM, w/ a Firewire External Drive to specs with minimal plug-ins and with only 4 tracks I'm getting errors. I've increased the CPU usage and buffer size and everything. Is there something else I'm missing.

I'm running 7.3 by the way

i just posted the same thing.

i'm running a G5 dual 2.0 with 1 gig of ram, and 150 gigs of free hard drive space.
i'm also getting CPU overload errors.

i know something is wrong, cause i've recorded lot's on protools ver 6.x and never had problems before i upgraded to 7.x

but i also just started using insert plug-ins... how many plug-ins can i expect to use at the same time with my set up?

I'm running a 1st. genereration dual 1.8 and I'm able to run several instances of kontakt2 with max audio tracks(32) and some inserts and sends. (at the moment I'm rebuilding my studio so I can't give a exact number)
how ever after doing some edits I started getting errors (usually after an hour or two )
I then reset the computer and get a cup of coffe. this usually helps. I found that increasing the ram on my mac helped a lot in ridding some errors.though resetting the computer every hour or two is kind of tedious when you need to get a job done in a hurry :/.
and lastly and not least , this realy helps.
