Default Re: Lock S6 focus to Pro Tools?

Same problem here.
The technicians must go to the Dadman to access parameters that are not available on the S6 (activates the delay on the monitoring for example).
There is always a danger that the technician will touch faders while on the Dadman application and change the volume in the monitor channel expansion and override the calibration.
Or during a calibration we have to mute and unmute different channel in protools but make the adjustment in Dadman (the switching is annoying).

I hope this feature arrives quickly!

Yes, the only way around this currently is to use a Layout. You could create a layout of all the tracks in PT (as long as they are under 256)

It's not the ideal solution, but you could have DADman installed on an other computer on the same network.

We already have a small piece of the workflow - just need to expand it further.

The small, round Setup button to the right of the Jog Wheel on the Automation provides locking of the Transport section to an app. Second, the Master Module monitoring functions are bound by application switching to a valid monitoring app (DADman, XMON).

The last piece of this includes locking the entire surface to a specific application - such as Pro Tools. This was never an issue with XMON - as the app didn't have the ability to talk to the faders - simply the monitoring real estate on the Master Module, and soft keys on the Automation module. Obviously DADman has far more (desirable) functionality but requires additional granular user control to optimize it for various environments.
