Default Low Latency Monitoring not working- MBox Pro

When I turn on Low Latency Monitoring, nothing comes through the headphones or speakers.
When LLM is off you can hear everything but, obviously, there is latency- even at 64 samples.

I'm running Pro-Tools LE 8.0.5 with an M-Box Pro on Mac OSX 10.6.7

Please help!

I played around with LLM & an Mbox Pro but I couldn't make it malfunction. Tell me a little more about what you are doing (midi? Instrument? Aux?) & I will try to recreate your situation.

I am simply trying to record a vocal with a microphone.
Nothing fancy.
One track. Input- Analogue 1

You can hear it fine through the headphones but there's latency.

Then I click on "Low Latency Monitoring" in Options.

It's like I've muted the track.
You can't hear anything.
I have no idea why

Is the track output set to analog 1-2? Is the master fader output set to analog 1-2?

Yes.
As I said. You can hear everything out the headphones perfectly to begin with.
It's only when you turn on LLM that the sound disappears.

I had the same thing with the same rig. waited and waited for avid to send the following and incredibly it worked for this issue:

Thank you for your patience in this matter. We spent some additional time testing and gathering information about the issue you have encountered and we may have an interem solution for you to try. If we do not see a response this this support case, we will attempt to call you today with this information as well.

When you enabe "Low Latency Monitoring" from the options menu, you should not have to "Disable Host Control" or make other changes in the Mbox Pro control panel to hear signal from your record enabled tracks. In the control panel, please make sure Host Control is enabled. In Pro Tools, enable Low Latency Monitoring, then record enable your track. At this point you may not hear your input signal, but the meter in Pro Tools should still be reflecting this signal you may not be able to hear. Hit "Record" then "Play" on your transport and record for about 15 seconds or more. Hit Stop, take the track out of being Record Enabled, then Hit Play. You should be able to hear what you just recorded. Now that you have done this, Pro Tools and the Mbox Pro may suddenly start working properly the next time you record enable any tracks in this or other sessions. Basically, try to operate it normally after doing this.

Hahaha.

What an answer. Is this answer real ?

I wonder how many people would accept buying a new car having to drive it blind untill they suddenly might see again.

I couldn't agree more Chris.
It's ridiculous!

I bought the Mbox Pro because I wanted the best.
It just doesn't work!
Avid? Any explanations?
