I agree with you in theory, but in this case I decided to roll back to the previous build because it's likely that the most recent disc image I had would have had the problems that were already occurring.

Rolled back to 1909 in five minutes; all stable now.

I really think piling on a lot of updates to 1909 then upgrading to 2004 may have caused the issues.

Now I'll just have to see how PT behaves when I reinstall it.
