i/o setup with Focusrite Scarlett Solo

Hey Guys,
I have PT 12, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo.
The Problem is that PT doesn't show my any Inputs in the I/O Setup and I can´t
click on any button.
In the Output I just can click on the default button and that´s all.
But I can´t recording a guitar or something like that if the I/O Setup don´t recognize that there is a Interface.

Anybody who can help?

Try launch PT with N key held down and when popup window comes choose the Focusrite interface. Then when PT has loaded up goto setup and choose i/o and press default on all the tabs like in/out/aux and on both pages (input/output) and see if that helps. If not then there may be an issue with the drivers for the interface.

Okay, thanks for that advice and I tried it but it doesn't works.

The Output Setup goes regular I guess. There´s a Output 1-2.
But the Input Setup ****ed up and I can´t really do anything to create or default a path.

You need to make the Scarlet the playback engine first.

Interesting that they say the 2i2 to have to same problem? A friend of mine installed and ran PT12.8.2 on High Sierra with a 2nd Gen 2i2 without any
of these problems a month ago. Just plugged in and played. Strange thing.

Anyway. I have seen Pro Tools behave like this with really low cost interfaces from time to time splitting up the Ins and Outs in two separate devices.
Neither Logic nor Cubase does it but PT obviously does.
So in such a case you have to build an Aggregate Device out of the "two" Scarlett Solo devices in the Audio-Midi-Settings of your Mac to get it to work
again as one single I/O unit.
