Default (ADC) Auto Delay Compensation is here!!!

Well it looks like the long anticipated Auto Delay Compensation is finaly here with version 6.4. In the Mix Magazine article on the ICON there is a sidebar listing some new features in PT 6.4 to be released concurrently with the ICON. Auto Delay Compensation of both plug-in and routing delays is on the list, along with Track Punch (record-enable and punch on the fly), an input button on each channel (allowing swithing between input and playback), and a few other new features. The immediate release is for HD systems with MIX systems to follow. This is good!

to old users.. has any past version of PT gone up to a x.4? I remember version 4 going up to 4.3.1..
I thought it would be named as version 7. Anyway, this does not matter, what are numbers-lol
Cheers Digi!

I don't think I've ever seen a PT version go up to a .4 version. But then again, there really haven't been any changes to the actual operational aspects since 6.1, just added compatibility for G5's and Panther. 6.4 is very exciting and has some very great features.

Mix support could take a very long time if the G5 is anything to go by. I wonder if Digi would give mix users compensation for the delay

6.4 will work with???

Non accel? no doubt.

Non Panther? I wouldn't count on it.

Non G5? Very likely.

Disclaimer: These are guesses; though educated, still guesses.

Please, please, PLEASE let there be a way to turn it OFF!

I would like to continue working the way I have gotten used to without it as well as be able to pull up past mixes without them being altered by ADC!

Digi? Any comment on being able to NOT use ADC (if it does exist)?

Redbeard
