Lack of internet completely crashed Pro Tools

I have PT 2021.12 and I do NOT use the cloud for my authorization. My PT perpetual license is on my iLok and yet today when the internet cut out PT crashes and wouldn’t restart until the internet was back. This why I had a studio with 13 musicians. You can imagine the situation.
Why did this happen and how can I prevent it from happening ever again? I thought that having the PT license would shield me from internet problems.

Looks like it’s looking for an authorization in the cloud when it can’t find the ilok. You didn’t specify if you’re on mac or windows, but if you’re on windows, go into device manager and disable usb power management on ALL of your usb ports.
Are you doing a “local session,” or maybe accidentally a shared “cloud” session?

Sorry I am on Mac and the iLok is in a USB 3 hub (but I also tried connecting it directly).

I was def doing a local session. In fact for 4 hours straight and then it all went to **** when the internet dried.

Last time I checked, I lok was recommending using a usb 2 port, saying it wasn’t usb 3 compatible. So much for backwards compatibility.

could also be one of your plugins causing this...

Guys this is not a plugin or a usb issue.
The system has worked stable for months with the same configuration and the problems only started when the internet cut out

Have you been using any Avid plugins that you downloaded as part of your plan? In the pic you shared it's hung up on 304C.

Those extra plugins often show up in an ilok cloud account. Go to ilok manager and check there.
