AAF import crashes PT 2022.4.0

I can not import AAF from the picture editor. It crashes every time. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, do you have a solution?

Usually it is the source (The NLE) who created the AAF that is root cause of these issues. Do you have details from the one who exported the AAF? (what options they choose, what NLE, did they render effects, did they do embedded or folder, are they using AMA/Media Link if from Media Composer, etc.)

I can't tell if you are trying to directly import from the AAF or if you have tried opening the AAF as a separate session and making it a Pro Tools session first. IF you haven't tried the latter, try that (open AAF as a new session.)

I have received AAFs and OMFs from Media Composer and Adobe Premiere and all works well, I would follow up with pic editor.

That’s good to hear, I will follow up with Assistant, the funny thing was they start to load like I’d see the track Number then it would just crash … it’s early days in our post so I’m sure it will get ironed out, I just want to make sure some of you are using the new PT with no issue with AAF from Media Composer
