PT Ultimate 2022.7 AAF Issues

I am about to call Avid Support, but before I do, I want to throw this out there.


I am a re-mixer and working on a new series.


After opening two AAF's from the video editor, (editing on Premier Pro), I am having an issue that I have never seen before in 30 plus years.


Everything imports fine and in sync, with the exception of the Music tracks. some of the tracks are in sync, while others are shifted to the beginning of the timeline before program start. Also, so have been missing all together.


When the editor re-imports the same AAF's into a new project in Premier, everything is in sync?

Yikes, haven't seen this.

Do you know what version of Premiere?

i have recently been informed by some of my editor colleagues that the latest version of Adobe Premiere running natively on Apple Silicon has issues outputting AAFs. the explanation given is that internally, Premiere's AAF export system is still Intel only, and not yet ported to run natively with Apple Silicon. the suggestion was to use OMFs rather than AAFs (which appear to work fine with Premiere on Apple Silicon).

obviously i cannot say for sure that this explains the OP's problem, but could be related.

Good to know. Have not had this issue, but will pass it along to some production companies I work for.
