Sorry for the thread necro -

What is the current status of s6 page tables/graph support for UAD plugins?

Greetings,

That functionality is free to implement for any 3rd party dev. The following companies besides Avid have at least 1 plug-in with curve support:

DMG Audio
MDW
Sonnox
FabFilter
Goodhertz
Brainworx
Harrison
McDSP
ToneBoosters
Waves
WholeGrain

Thanks Jeff -

I was just wondering about UAD specifically. From your response I'm guessing not. Of course, custom layouts will solve this (soon?).

I just remember some people saying UAD plugs at least had the EQ/DYN (as opposed to Insert) knob layouts working... the graph would be a separate feature.

There are a few different items to parse out.

(A) Having maps that are decent with parameters labeled in a logical manner.
(B) Having dedicated EQ and DYN maps defined for plug-ins which fall into those categories.
(C) Having curves implemented for EQ and DYN plug-ins.

To my understanding, UA has A and B but not C - and to be fair, the vast majority of their EQ's, for example, are emulating a classic piece of gear which is not really in the same boat as something from Massenburg, FabFilter or DMG with regard to RTAs and visual feedback.

To be clear, the upcoming custom knobs functionality has nothing to do with curve support. Devs need to label their parameters well - else custom knobs are still not very useful - just as 3rds who add the goodness of thumbnails into their plug-ins (FabFilter for example) adds value for the user.

best

Thanks Jeff - if it's just missing curves that's not the end of the world.
