Default Pro Tools wont open due to izotope error.

Just finished with Technical Support who help me activate Media Composer again but this error message keeps coming up in Pro Tools and it looks like it is with the Izotope plugins.

Pro Tools Error

And here is the Media Composer Error

Do I uninstall Izotope RX 8 so that it does not stop me using PT ans MC, check the applications open and then reinstall RX8?

Just pull those two plugins out of the plugin folder (if you notice, they are two different plugins from iZotope)
And they are the "hook" part of the plugins which are like inputs into the actual plugin. That's all you need to remove from the plugin folder.

So I found the File, see below

De plosive.png

So do I simply remove both files and see if it restarts? if it does start how do i reinstall again? Do I just save the file in another location and drop it in again or uninstall RX8 and reinstall?

I removed the two files and when I open Pro Tools it comes up with another error but with a different RX8 plugin.

This is the next error after deleting..

Then I went in and deleted these two files and the following error appeared after opening Pro Tools again.

It seems as though it is going to keep going through all the RX 8 plugins.
I am assuming I have to uninstall izotope RX8 and then see if the program opens and if it does then reinstall RX 8. What do you think?

First off, don't delete files. Move them. There is an "unused plugins" folder. Move the files to there. Now you need to do a reinstall of RX. Afterwards, move files don't delete.

What Pro Tools is doing is scanning your plugins folder on startup (it does this anytime new or update plugins appear.) Seems these ones have dependencies which is why you are getting the second error. So move the main plugin module to the unused folder.
Plugins are just "folders" with a bunch of content inside. You are deleting the items inside the folder when you need to move the whole folder that is the "plugin." So right now, with parts missing because you deleted them you are getting these errors. If you move the actual "plugin" then the scanner has nothing to scan so it won't come upon these problems.

Thank you BScout.

That makes sense.

I have had a victory. I ended up uninstalling iZotope RX 8 and Pro Tools opened. I then re installed RX and it was fine again.......... until I opened Media Composer which did open then after closing I opened pro Tools again and I started getting similar error messages.

So at that point I had had enough and deactivated Media Composer in the old Avid Application manager and then uninstalled RX and then re installed RX and everything has been going great in Pro Tools.

I have had to do this on windows computers a couple of times, usually with Izotope plugins. Moving them all to unused then back one at a time always works.
