Problem Opening Session Templates

Can anyone assist with an issue opening session templates (ie- a PT session that has had the "Stationery" box ticked in the info window and then locked)?

When attempting to open these, the desktop clears momentarily, PT does not open, and when the finder window re-appears a copy of the template file has been made. But no new session appears.

It's strange.

Any clues??
