Default What do you think about OT postings?

There's been some discussion about the way DUC has gone lately. Is there too much OT stuff? Should it be controlled / restricted? Is that possible? Or are things fine left as they are?

I'll set up a straw poll in a week. Until then, what are your opinions?

I like them personally. I read daily so it keeps the board interesting.

Overtime isn't allowed where I work

As long as it is mostly kept to seperate forums which are listed as OT that's great. A little OT in other forums is fine too but when it goes on and on and your trying to get to the heart of a technical matter in a technical forum, it sucks.

oops maybe I should get more technical here. Please interchange the word 'thread' for 'forum' in my previous post.

personally, I like the OT posts, especially yours Karel. Sometimes we end up getting into non post related stuff though ,and it steals the thread and goes way out in left field.

Like, how do you get Daisy to go to bed on time? My daughter, Vivian is always stretching out her bedtime somehow so that she is up long after she is supposed to be.

OT's are cool, as long as they don't take away from helping people out.

OT's are fine... We just need to realize that not everyoe likes them. In our little 002/001 Mbox forum, I think that we are all used to the OT's. Heck, are you not the KING? I think that it puts some at ease honestly. There are serious discussions about audio all over this forum. Not everything is AUDIO!

Besides it keeps us off the "streets"

Shoot! I slipped... sorry...

BEER LIGHT IS ON AND I AM OUTTA HERE!

later,

- Doc
