Thumbs up Thank You for the New Windows 7 Audio Drivers

I have decided to post this thread to say "Thank you so much for the new Windows 7 Audio Drivers". I was so sad that I couldn't use my Mbox 2 Mini with WaveDriver based applications until now. I'm now able to use the MBox 2 Mini as my default device in "Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Sound". The drivers are working great so far. Keep up the great work folks!

For those having trouble with the new beta Windows 7 Audio Drivers, please follow the following steps:
  1. Remove Pro Tools, all Digidesign related software and any plug-ins installed "Start > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features"
  2. Restart
  3. Install Pro Tools 8.0.0 from the installation DVD
  4. Restart
  5. Download the Pro Tools 8.0.3 Updater and run it
  6. Restart
  7. Remove Digidesign Audio Drivers from "Start > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features"
  8. Restart
  9. Now install "Digidesign Audio Drivers"http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?lang...4&itemid=40492
  10. Restart
  11. Go to "Start > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Sound"
The device should now be listed.

Success stories are good to hear.

What version of Windows 7 are you running?

The problem isn't going to truly be fixed by any 'do this and that' method - we found the actual bug and will have it fixed in the final release.

I love it when I read things like that!

It's like a "Digi on their white steed will ride into your studio soon - be patient" feeling.
