Default Pro Tools 9 freezes whole system

Hi, I've had a Digidesign 003 Factory and now I own a Fast track C600 along Pro tools 9 original.

Both audio hardware caused exactly the same problem. Even with two different PC's over Windows 7 64 bits Service Pack 1!!

One was Pentium Quad Core and now I own a brand new i7, but I changed completely all of the components, two different computers at all with different audio hardware and I got the same EXACT problem.

It just freezes everything and I have to do a hard reset. I've uploaded a video so you can see what the problem is (if you turn up the volume, the sound trtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtr is how pro tools stays when it freezes the whole system.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22495357/13...3a8a926b7c.MOV

FYI, Windows is working perfectly, and Cubase is working perfectly too, just Pro Tools...

I hope that any of you has had it and solved it, or at least, you could help me out because I'm going nuts and I am very angry

Thanks mates I am really looking forward to a reply.

Help us Help You - READ THIS Before Posting!

Look for this link in the upper section of this(and every) DUC page. Nobody can help without details. That link will explain how to do a Sandra report(and just do the newer computer for now).

After the Sandra - try trashing the prefs also

New session and see what that does

I've tried that but I get the same behaviour Sometimes it takes up to 20 seconds, other times maybe 1 hour....is quite random and very very annoying. It's true that trashing prefs MIGHT make Pro Tools crash a little bit later.

Start by doing all the systems optimizations, do every last one, and following the standard troubleshooting steps described under the "help us help you" link on this web page.

I do not get why Avid is still requiring approvals for sone posts. Make sure you are just trying to submit a standard Sandra report (look at others posted all over DUC). You *may* be trying to post something too large.

Yep, I did everything out there (even from the BIOS). I also trashed Pro Tools preferences... I don't understand why, with a brand new computer, and another audio hardware (before Digi 003) keeps happening.

Thanks for your time and your effort in helping me

No, that is too little info, as I said like the reports everybody else posts here. Like for random example --http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t...ghlight=Sandra. Is that what you are trying to post before and was blocked for approval?

Thanks

Darryl
