Download link or fix

Hello, I am having some trouble with my version of Pro Tools. I have a DVD which is semi broken (full of glue residue, thanks to the ingenious packaging). When I tried installing on the PC I had before, the application wouldn't even start. However, I managed to solve the problem; I had one of those precious support codes, so I contacted support and had them send me the installation files to download. Problem solved! Until I bought my MacBook Pro... (ironically)

On the Mac I am using now, the DVD did actually start, and the install application finished just fine. However, PT isn't working all well. More specifically, most of the plug-ins are either not working at all, or they are full of bugs. I think the install application started lagging a bit when it came to the Creative Commons part, and that's when the plug-ins are installed, no?

Well, the bottom line is that PT isn't working, and I can't find a way to download neither it, nor the plug-ins, which is really the only thing that seems to be defect. (yes, I have checked the My Account-page, and I have tried entering all kinds of registration codes that came with my PT DVD). I have also updated to 8.0.5, but that didn't make any difference. Also reinstalled a couple of times. Of course, the installation file I got from Avid earlier was for Windows, so that's not gonna work either.

Is there no way that I can download the installation files (or plug-ins)? Do I have to purchase a support code so that I can receive another download file? I've been searching all over Avid's sites all evening, and I can't seem to find anything.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Whats OS, if it's a new MBP with Lion then Pro Tools 9 is required and i'm pretty it's still in beta, no good for Pro Tools 8.

Oh, maybe that could be the problem, then. Didn't think of that... It's a pretty brand new MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1.

The thing is, Pro Tools is working just fine, it's just the plug-ins that seem to be broken.

Who did you buy this all from- and why aren't they helping you?

Because... I haven't asked them... yet. Will try that tomorrow. I will most likely update to PT9 shortly anyway, it's just that I needed it to work asap, and am a little short on money this month. But I will contact the store I bought it from and see if they can help.
