Default Pro Tools LE 8.0 "cannot be designated as an audio record volume"

I've been having issues with my MBoX2 Mini from the day I purchased the item. I been able to record but i was having issues with with the Play back engine with error codes like "9029" or "6869". Now, I can not change from "T - transfer" to R "Record", i get the error code "cannot be designated as an audio record volume". I have delected DAF Prefs and Digidesign Database and nothing worked. I even re-Formatted my external Hard Drive and uninstall and re-install Pro Tool 8.0. I even upgrade to 8.0.1 but still nothing works. Can anyone help me with recording at least 16 bars? I am a hard working artist with limited funds and I thought Homestudio would be the way to go but i cant even record with the software purchased. Please can someone point me to any direction? Should i build a PC? I can not afford a MAC right? Any Advise?

Nix

Post a Sandra report mate and folks will be able to help you better.

I don't know about your processor/etc personally so can't offer any advice there.

4Gb for 64bit windows is low. I'd go 32bit with 4Gb myself, or upgrade to 6Gb which would be sufficient.

But dont change anything until you post a Sandra and the guys can give you the straight answers.

Mike.

Yes, a Sandra report is needed. But I can tell you already that you may have problems with your computer. Turion cpu may not be supported, and Win7 64 bit needs 8.0.4. What is the connection for your recording drive? USB drives are not supported.

I am using a eSATA connection for my external hard drive with the option of USB 2.0. What is a Sandra Report? I am new to this community site. Thanks for the feed back. If I have a CPU Issue. What CPU is compatible with Pro Tools?
